Privacy Policy - Daimond AI

This policy covers two distinct things:

• The Daimond AI iPhone app — covered in the main sections below. The app does not collect analytics on your usage.
• The daimondai.com website — covered in the "Website Analytics & Cookies" section. We do use Google Analytics on the website to understand traffic. Cookies are denied by default until you opt in.

Our Privacy Commitment (App)

Daimond AI is built on the principle that your data belongs to you. Your data is private and secure. We deliberately designed this app to keep you in control of your data and privacy at all times.

We do not:

• Collect your conversations
• Track usage for advertising or behavioral profiling
• Store your API keys
• Monitor your interactions
• Share or sell any data
• Require account creation

Your privacy isn't just a feature - it's fundamental to our app's design.

Local Data Storage

Your data stays on your device:

• Conversations are stored locally
• API keys are secured in your device's Keychain
• Backups are controlled by you
• Settings are saved only on your device

You can delete your locally saved data at any time by:

• Swiping to delete individual conversations
• Removing API keys from settings
• Deleting the app entirely

Third-Party Services

When you choose to use third-party services (AI providers, voice services, search providers):

• You provide your own API keys
• You are responsible for your own interactions and charges with those services
• Your data is transmitted directly to them, and their privacy policies apply
• Communications are direct between your device and those services
• We never see or store your API keys or communications
• Each service you decide to use has its own privacy and data retention policy
• You can switch providers or stop using any service at any time
• Depending on your device and iOS version, your speech in voice mode may be processed on-device or sent to Apple's servers for transcription. This is handled by iOS and governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Review each provider's privacy policy for details about how they handle your data.

Generated Images

If you create a generated character or expressions, those images are made using Apple's Image Playground:

• Generation runs on your device or on Apple's Private Cloud Compute, governed by Apple's privacy policy
• Your prompts are not stored by Daimond
• Images are stylized illustrations, not photorealistic depictions of real people
• Generated images include Apple's built-in provenance information
• Images are stored locally on your device and are removed when you delete the character or the app

You always review and approve each image before it is saved.

App Store & Analytics

Through the App Store, Apple provides basic analytics that help us improve the app:

• Crash reports (if you've enabled sharing with developers)
• Basic installation and update metrics
• Device type and iOS version

This information is anonymized by Apple and aggregated across all users. We cannot identify individual users or their data.

You can control sharing of app analytics in your iOS Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements.

Permissions

Daimond only requests permissions necessary for specific features:

• Microphone: For voice input
• Speech Recognition: For voice commands
• Contacts: For email and SMS features
• Calendar: For event management
• Reminders: For creating and listing reminders, and alert scheduling
• Location: For today's weather forecast in your location
• Photos: For choosing images to analyze on device (OCR/classification)
• Camera: For capturing photos to analyze on device (OCR/classification)
• Notifications: For Morning Summary, Reminder Alerts, Memory Nudges, and Contextual Suggestions
• Web Search: No iOS permission; when used, your query is sent to your configured search provider and may be summarized by your AI provider

When you grant these permissions and use the related commands, relevant information (such as a contact's name, calendar event, reminder title, location, or image text) may be used as context to enhance your interactions, such as drafting emails or texts, relaying calendar/reminder information, or providing weather-forecast responses.

Image text extraction and object classification are performed on your device using Apple's Vision framework. If you ask Daimond to discuss an image, only the extracted text (not the image) may be sent to your selected AI provider as part of the conversation, unless you explicitly choose to share the image.

You can:

• Grant or deny any permission
• Change permissions any time in Settings
• Use the app without granting all permissions

Data Backup

You control your data backups:

• Export data manually through the app
• Choose when to backup
• Store backups wherever you choose
• Import data on your terms

Backups are in standard JSON format and can be reviewed with any text editor. If you store a backup on iCloud or elsewhere, your chosen cloud provider's policies apply.

Your Privacy Rights

As a Daimond user, you have the right to:

• Access your data (it's already on your device)
• Delete your locally saved data at any time
• Choose which features, and which third party services, to use

Website Analytics & Cookies

The daimondai.com website (separate from the iPhone app) uses Google Analytics 4, deployed via Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages visitors find useful and how people arrive at the site. The app itself does not use Google Analytics — only the website.

What's collected on the website

• Pages you visit and time on page
• Anonymized IP address (Google IP anonymization is on by default in GA4)
• Approximate location (typically country/region level)
• Browser type, operating system, screen size, device category
• The referring URL that brought you here (if any)
• Anonymized client identifier (a random pseudonymous ID)

We do not collect names, email addresses, payment information, or any data that personally identifies you through the website.

Cookies and Google Consent Mode v2

Analytics cookies are denied by default on every visit. The cookie banner shown on your first visit lets you accept all, reject all, or choose per category (analytics, advertising). Your choice is stored on your device in localStorage under daimond_consent_v1.

We use Google's Consent Mode v2. If you reject cookies, Google Analytics still receives anonymous, cookie-less pings (no identifier, no cross-page tracking) so we can see basic page-view totals. If you accept, standard GA4 collection begins.

Cookies that may be set after you accept include: _ga, _ga_<container-id>, and related Google Analytics cookies. Retention follows Google's defaults (typically up to 2 years for _ga).

Data retention

In our GA4 configuration, event-level data is retained for 14 months; aggregated reports remain available beyond that. Google may retain data per their own policy.

International data transfers

Google Analytics data is processed by Google in the United States and other countries. Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and uses Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers.

Your rights and how to opt out

• Withdraw consent at any time via the "Privacy Settings" link in the website footer. This re-opens the cookie banner and lets you change your selection.
• Delete local consent state by clearing your browser's site data for daimondai.com.
• Block Google Analytics entirely with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• EU/UK/CA users: in addition to the above, you have GDPR/UK GDPR/PIPEDA rights (access, rectification, erasure, objection, data portability). Contact privacy@theredbuildinggroup.com to exercise these rights.
• California users: under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information.

Third parties involved in website analytics

• Google LLC — Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4. See Google's privacy policy.

Updates to Privacy Policy

If we need to update this privacy policy:

• Changes will be shown in the app
• You'll continue to own and control your data
